Alice Springs Pony Club Inc.

At Alice Springs Pony Club we have a variety of Instructors on hand at every rally. They have experience in working with children and have expertise in a wide variety of equestrian activities. We are constantly updating and providing training to our Instructors to ensure that your children are recieving the best possible care.

Who we are...

All of our Instructors get out and have a go at competitions and understand first hand how much work and effort goes in to preparing both the Horse and Rider for competition.

We are also lucky enough to have guest instructors come and share their expertise in fields such as dressage, showjumping, Western, novelties, team penning, campdrafting, games, polocrosse and much more.

Chief Instructor - Lyn McCormick

Lyn is a well know competitor on her horse Sweetest Thing. Lyn has been a member of the Alice Springs Pony Club committee for many years and has taken up the challenge of Chief Instructor in 2009.

Instructor - Kath North

Kath is a well-known Alice Springs horsewoman who has just taken out her racehorse trainer's licence. As well as her gallopers, Kath's main love is jumping with Scotty. Kath is a keen competitor and senior ASPC rider. She is also a talented photographer who takes the pics at many equestrian events.

Jo has 2 daughters and also finds time to ride herself. She is a successful Masters Games competitor and has also been know to get out and give it a go at many of our events. Jo has been a long serving ASPC committee member who has decided to take a break this year. But we are very glad she has taken on the role of newsletter editor. Take a look at the publications on this site and you'll see what a great job she does. 

Instructor - Louisa Spicer

Louisa has 2 horses that she dressages and jumps.  Louisa is also an active member of the Alice Springs Dressage Club committee - busy lady!
